
E.R.H. Dicken was a private collector of historical horseshoes. His collection was excavated from around England and includes examples from Somerset to Kent and Yorkshire to Cheshire. The earliest specimen in the collection is a Roman-Celtic example. The collection also has Saxon and Norman examples but the majority come from the 12th to 18th centuries.
