Austin, Reginald Percy

Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology

Austin was an archaeologist and epigrapher. He studied Classics at University College Reading, and subsequently travelled to Greece as a student at the British School at Athens in the 1920s.  He directed excavations at Haliartos, Greece. Eventually he became Reader in Ancient History at the University of Birmingham. A brief biography of Austin can be found here.
